Scope

Overall operational accountability for repair and refurbishment of the Swire CCU fleet inclusive of lifting sets co-ordinating with all UK base managers/co-ordinators to offer support through swap outs and/or agreed turn round timescales.

Services Manager will assume operational responsibility for the review, costing and timely execution of all third party service tasks undertaken ensuring that all materials and resources are co-ordinated towards a successful conclusion as well as liaising and supporting Commercial team with accurate competitive costs and timely communication.

A senior member of the UK operations team with a responsibility to participate in the development of operations strategy, policies and standards that supports business objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Exercise the highest standard of duty of care for the Health & Safety of Operations personnel and anyone else (internal and / or external) operating in, passing through, and / or visiting operations. This includes the risk assessment and approval of any processes, systems or equipment provided by functional departments and / or external sources.
  • Continuously monitor resource versus activity levels to ensure that serviceability of fleet can be maintained to meet fluctuations of market demands.
  • Compliance and control of budgetary costs in agreement with the UK Operations Manager.
  • Support and ensure achievement of delivery, quality, cost, productivity and other business targets as agreed with UK Operations Manager, and as specifically defined by the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Support, development and maintenance of appropriate training / accreditation processes to facilitate the proper deployment of process / product changes across operational areas
  • Ensure personnel are operating according to agreed procedures and work with regional teams to develop a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Support the maintenance of high levels of operating discipline and procedural conformance throughout all operations in accordance with ISO, DNV, NORSOK and any other agreed operating processes and procedures.
  • Work in close cooperation with the UK Health & Safety Function to maintain effective monitoring and corrective action processes relating to all areas of safety.
  • Work in close cooperation with the Group & UK Quality function to maintain effective monitoring and corrective action processes relating to all areas of Quality
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of commercial requirements, product strategy, and key business decision drivers for rental and services.
  • Ensure traceability and integrity of key process documentation.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of stock within the ERP system and ensure regular cycles are religiously undertaken.

Preferred Skills:

  • HND in a Technical or Commercial subject
  • Proven experience in operational management, Quality, Commercial or Manufacturing / Production Environment
