Three individuals have been recognised for their commitment to aviation safety as they are named finalists in the Award for Aviation Safety category, sponsored by Swire Energy Services (SES), at the Offshore Safety Awards 2025.
The category places the spotlight on individuals who are making an impact with their dedication to safety across the offshore industry. After judging of this year’s award applications, SES has shortlisted Andrew Cowx, Offshore Helicopter Services UK (OHSUK) and Andy Evans, Aerossurance for their diligence and positive influence on safety culture.
The esteemed awards - organised by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and Step Change in Safety - take place on Tuesday 1 July and recognise safety excellence across the offshore industry.
The Award for Aviation Safety is one of 10 categories and will be presented to an individual or team which demonstrates a passion for safety and leads by example in their field. The award winner will also be a positive influence on safety culture and trailblazer in enhancing performance in an aviation environment.
Greg Smith, QHSE Manager, Aviation at Swire Energy Services said: “By sponsoring the Award for Aviation Safety category we are visibly aligning ourselves with the most critical factor in aviation. Safety isn't just a requirement, it's a core part of our culture and identity.
“This award celebrates excellence in aviation safety and reinforces the behaviours, innovations and systems that maintain the highest standards across the offshore industry - and encourages continuous improvement.”
