Swire Energy Services (SES) has signed a global service agreement with Vaisala to become its global offshore service partner for the offshore industry.
Vaisala is a global leader in weather, environmental and industrial measurement products and services, including innovative weather measuring sensors used to support the safe landing of helicopters in the offshore industry.
This global service agreement allows offshore customers to study meteorological data, while permitting SES to complete the installations, inspections and recalibrations of Vaisala’s best-in-class observation sensors, systems and services.
The SES team trained under Vaisala’s elite training programme in Helsinki, Finland, to enable its expert technicians to maintain, service and calibrate meteorological sensors and systems for Vaisala’s offshore clientele. With locations in 30 countries around the world, SES is the ideal service partner for Vaisala.
Commercial manager for aviation at SES, Nathan Munro, worked closely with Vaisala’s head of maritime, Mikko Nikkanen, and sales manager for maritime Europe, Kai Vilkko, on this global service agreement.
Nathan Munro said: “We are delighted that Vaisala has chosen SES to become its global offshore service partner. This agreement allows both companies to continue growing in the offshore industry, while benefiting from SES’ quality installation and inspection services.
“This agreement enables SES to further support our existing customer base, and the global offshore industry, as it expands our aviation offering even further. SES’ comprehensive aviation solutions means our customers can continue working with a singular supplier, saving them time and money, while helping lower CO2 emissions.”
Mikko Nikkanen added: “Vaisala Maritime is dedicated to ensuring both high safety standards and operational efficiency for our customers. Through our partnership with Swire Energy Services, we are enhancing our service reach to offshore locations worldwide. This collaboration will particularly benefit our offshore customers, providing them with seamless access to trusted maintenance services on a global scale.”
