Swire Energy Services have completed a significant modification project in Saudi Arabia, enabling our key customers to transport their drilling pipe offshore with the safest possible solution.
Our client required sixteen DNV 2.7-1 certified 40 ft CBZ baskets to transport their pipe offshore. In addition to the regular basket, the client requested the units were configured to the highest possible safety standard to ensure maximum load protection during transport. SES’ Middle East team, in partnership with the SES Group Engineering team, managed the modification project ensuring maximum stability and security for the stacked pipe.
Key Challenges
Ensuring the high-value load had maximum security for its transportation offshore, significantly reducing equipment damage and maximising safety.
Client required full product and service scope to be provided by a single vendor in the Middle East.
All units needed to be certified to DNV 2.7-1 standards, in addition to KSA recertification standards.
