Michael's Story
"My career with Swire Energy Services began June 2009, and I have been fortunate to climb up through the ladder within the Operations department. I started as a Maintenance Operative and worked for two years in that role. With the support of SES, I got the requisite training to become a certified NDT/lifting Inspector. In 2011, I was appointed to the role of an NDT Inspector/Test Engineer, where I worked for two years and later became the Lead NDT Inspector for another two years. In that role, I was responsible for ensuring that the NDT Inspector/Test Engineers’ and Compliance Coordinator’s reports were interpreted correctly, and the results evaluated with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
"Thereafter, I was promoted to the role of Operations Supervisor, where I served for two years with the responsibility of supporting the Operations Management Team, in the management of the key processes required to ensure a Safe, Efficient & Cost-Effective Operations. I currently serve as the operations Manager, where I have spent the last eight years in ensuring that the key operational objectives are meet for the business needs in Nigeria.
