Natalie Walsh's story
“I’ve been with Swire since 2018 and looking back at my career so far, I’ve had invaluable opportunities to grow and develop key skills to support me in my role as Commercial Manager in our Aviation Services.
My career started with Gordon Engineering Services which was a small aviation company that was acquired by Swire in 2018. In my initial role as Customer Service and Logistics Manager, I co-ordinated offshore operations and developed the aftersales team in the UK. At this time, I was also part of the Global Aviation Leadership Team which involved me contributing to strategic initiatives of Swire - a real passion of mine.
I was delighted to be promoted to Commercial Manager for aviation in August 2024, to develop and activate a commercial strategy to grow Swire’s market share in aviation services in alignment with our global objectives.
Collaboration with stakeholders and customers plays a huge part in my role and creating innovative solutions that add real value to their operations is something that always excites me. Leading my talented team is incredibly rewarding and it’s inspiring to see how everyone contributes to achieving our goals. At the heart of our success is brilliant teamwork.
There’s been so many highlights in my time with Swire, but for me, the real highlight is solving problems for our customers. It’s amazing how we proactively develop customer experiences and understand customer needs to deliver effective and impactful solutions.
Being part of an organisation that encourages collaboration and innovation has been a big factor in my progression. The variety of projects and challenges I’ve worked on has helped grow into my role and I look forward to seeing what’s next.”
