SES Mission Christmas Challenge

Posted 05 Dec 2018

This year an estimated 10,000 children across the North East of Scotland are at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas morning.

The charity Cash for Kids, in partnership with radio station North Sound 1, have been supporting the North East for several years with their annual ‘Mission Christmas’ gift drive, aiming to gift up to 3 presents per child, and this year is no exception.

Therefore, in the spirit of giving and supporting our local community, Swire Energy Services have set a challenge for all Aberdeen staff to help fill a Swire Offshore Container full of Christmas gift for this year’s Cash for Kids, Mission Christmas. In addition to the staff donations, Swire Energy Services will also be making a donation to help towards the challenge.

The 130 plus Swire staff across the Aberdeen HQ and Altens yard have until the 14th of December to donate gifts, which will be donated alongside the company contribution.

Alister Beck, Swire Energy Services North Sea General Manager commented – “We are delighted to be supporting the Mission Christmas gift appeal this year. The gifts that are collected by Cash For Kids go on to benefit so many families across the North East of Scotland that require additional support, particularly at this time of year.”
